Nutrition labels are packed with valuable information, but can also be incredibly overwhelming. Let's break it down! In part one of this two part series I am diving into what ingredients to watch for, along with discussing what sort of foods you shouldn't even bother to look at the label for (seriously, that's a thing).

I've developed a 3 step system to determine if something should hop into your grocery cart:
Step 1: Consider how frequently you are eating the food (and if you should even bother checking the label)
Step 2: Investigate the ingredients
